You've found us at White Tree Retreats, now let's tell you about where we are.
Nestled in the Lakeland region of Norther Alberta on Treaty 6 territory and the homeland of the Metis, you will find us lakefront at Moose Lake just outside of Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada.
We are a two hour and forty five minute drive North East of Edmonton where the closest international airport is. Another airport is located one and a half hours away in Lloydminster. Find your way to Highway 28 and you will find your way to Nicholson Subdivision and White Trees Retreats.
The local history of our retreat centre is pretty amazing and dates back to the 1930’s. The land we are located on was the homestead Alma Nicholson. The first cabin on the lake quarter was located where our retreat centre is. In those days there were no roads, just bush trails like the ones you walk through when you come to a retreat here.
The Lakeland is home to a beautiful area full of, you guessed it, lakes of course. Lakes and boreal forest, a perfect playground for hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking and
exploring by foot, by air, by boat, by atv, by snowmobile, ski or snowshoe.
When is the best time to visit? We are lucky to live in Canada where there are 4 distinct seasons, all with something to offer. Each season has a highlight. We love that you can come and relax here all year round, finding your slice of paradise by the lake, in whatever season fits you best.
Our mission at White Trees is to facilitate peace for overscheduled entrepreneurs. Take some time to Press Pause and relax. You deserve it.
